Rasuwa flood is a common thunderbolt in Nepal’s chest: Balen

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balen Shah has said that the devastating floods in Rasuwa are a common thunderbolt in the chest of the entire Nepal.

Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives, he said, “This pain is not only of Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. This is a common blow on the chest of the whole of Nepal. ’

On Wednesday, August 26, there was a flood in the Bhotekoshi Trishuli River.

The floods have affected areas along the banks of the Trishuli River in Dhading, Chitwan and Gorkha districts, Devighat and Trishuli Bazaar of Rasuwa.

The bodies of 1,114 people have been recovered.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, a total of 1,114 dead bodies were recovered in Rasuwa, 155 in Nuwakot, 59 in Dhading, 348 in Chitwan, 66 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 217 in Nawalparasi East and 190 in Nawalparasi West.

3,916 people are out of contact. 292 people have been injured. So far, 11,993 people have been rescued from flood-affected areas.

Prime Minister Balen briefed the House of Representatives on the situation at the outset.

Prime Minister Balen said that there is no time to take rest because the body is tired at this time. He said that there is no time to share the heartbreak with each other.
