Balen’s goggles made headlines in The New York Times

Kathmandu. The American newspaper The New York Times has published a special article about the black glasses of Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

In an article headlined “Why Nepal’s leaders wore black glasses to the United Nations General Assembly?” published on September 24, the New York Times stated that Balen did not take off his glasses when he addressed the UN General Assembly.

According to the report, black glasses have been a part of his public attire since he was active as a rapper and now as the Prime Minister of Kathmandu.

According to the New York Times, Balen’s glasses have become an important hallmark of his public image and are being sold in Nepal following his style.

According to his office, the prime minister wears spectacles to protect his eyes from bright light as per the advice of doctors.
