112 ropanis of land transferred to government

Kathmandu. The government has registered 112 ropanis of land in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4 in the name of the Government of Nepal.

The land was acquired in the name of the government in course of implementing the report of the Rawal Commission-2052 BS.

The Land Administration Office, Dilli Bazaar, has completed the task of transferring the land in the name of the government as per the decision of the Rawal Commission to transfer the government and public land in the name of the government.

According to Minister Pratibha Rawal’s secretariat, the report implementation committee formed by the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has started the task of subtracting the encroached land in a lump sum from the plots on the basis of its report.

A committee has been formed under the coordination of Chief Survey Officer Ramesh Gyawali for the implementation of the report.

The committee comprises under-secretaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, chiefs of concerned Land Administration and Survey Offices, chiefs of local-level coordination sections, section officers of the Department of Land Management and Records and survey officers of the Survey Department.

The Rawal Commission had submitted a report in 2052 BS with recommendations to protect the government and public land encroached upon and registered in the name of individuals.

The Ministry has started the process of bringing the government and public land under the government’s name by implementing the same report after a long time.

The government has already started the process of bringing all the land pointed out by the Rawal Commission in the name of the government.
