Kathmandu. The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of medical practitioner Durga Prasai on bail in connection with an electronic transaction case.
A single bench of District Judge Umesh Prasad Luitel on Tuesday ordered Prasai to release him on bail of Rs 2 lakh.
Prasain was arrested by the Cyber Bureau on June 12. On the basis of a complaint filed by Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Rachana Khatiwada, the police had registered a case against him under the Electronic Crime Act.
Prasai was accused of making derogatory comments on YouTube for exchanging the post of MP with his son’s body.
