IGP Karki directs police personnel to be deployed with reliable security plan for election

. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki has directed the police personnel to prepare a reliable security plan to hold the elections in a fear-free, fair and peaceful environment.

At a program organized through video conferencing from Nepal Police Headquarters, IGP Karki directed the police personnel to adopt security sensitivity and contemporary issues in the context of elections.TAG_OPEN_p_7 He stressed the need for effective collection of information and strong security arrangement to prevent criminal activities in their respective workplaces.

According to the Police Headquarters, IGP Karki has given high priority to crime investigation, control of revenue leakage at the border points, arms seizure, traffic management and arrest of absconding defendants.TAG_OPEN_p_6

On the occasion, AIGP Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, Chief of the Work Department of Police Headquarters, and AIGP Sushil Singh Rathore, Chief of Crime Investigation Department, also urged the police personnel to adapt themselves to the situation and fulfill their responsibilities.TAG_OPEN_p_5

Chiefs TAG_OPEN_p_4 and representatives of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, all seven Province Police Offices, Highway Security and Traffic Management Office, Province Police Training Centre, Special Security Battalion, Province and District Police Office were present virtually on the occasion.
