Sagar Dhakal shows bill of Rs 2625 during election campaign, announces not to eat fish and meat

Kathmandu. Sagar Dhakal, the candidate of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) from Gulmi-1, has announced that he will not eat fish and meat during his election campaign. He has indicated that he will contest the election on a short, simple lifestyle by releasing a bill of Rs 2625 for a night’s hotel.

Dhakal had reached Simlatari of Malika Rural Municipality of Gulmi last evening. This seat is in constituency number 2, where Govinda Panthi is the candidate of the RSP. A team of 6 including Dhakal and Panthi stayed at Sita Hotel and Restaurant.

This morning, Dhakal posted a video detailing the expenses of one night. He said that the team of 6 had a full vegetarian meal. According to the bill, six people had spent Rs 1,200 on a meal worth Rs 200. He had also paid Rs 1,200 for three rooms at the rate of Rs 400. Similarly, six people had tea and snacks worth Rs 225.

Dhakal said that he spends Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 daily for the publicity campaign by renting a vehicle. He also advised all the candidates of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) not to eat fish, meat and alcohol and not to distribute oil. “We don’t eat fish, meat and alcohol. If you do this, you can win the election through simplicity. ”

Dhakal also informed that Panthi who was walking with him was made to ‘get up’ four times this morning. Panthi boarded the train four minutes late than the scheduled time. According to Dhakal, he was told to board the train at seven o’clock, but he was four minutes late, so he got up four times. Panthi has also accepted this. ”

Panthi is a former DSP and advocate. Claiming that the RSP will make a clean sweep in Gulmi this time, Dhakal said that his competition is mainly with Jhapa and Chitwan.
