On the last day of the week, NEPSE recorded a greener turnover of Rs 11 billion

Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a double-digit fall on Thursday. The market, which had been declining since the beginning of the week, has improved on the last day.

On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 8.97 points to close at 2,671.07 points. The Sensitive Float Index rose by 1.51 points, while the Sensitive Float Index climbed 0.85 points and the Sensitive Float Index climbed 0.56 points.

Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also increased significantly. A total of 2,77,80,000 shares worth Rs 11.10 billion were traded in 1,06,018 trades on Thursday.

On this day, the shares of Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydropower Company were traded at positive circuit level. The company’s share price rose by 28.50 paise to close at Rs 313.70. Similarly, the share price of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Ltd has climbed by 10 percent and Khani Khola Hydropower has surged by 7 percent.

Shares of Kalinchowk Darshan fell the most by 7.59 percent. Ngadi Group Power topped the list on the basis of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 70.53 crore were traded in the company. Similarly, shares of SY Panel Nepal worth Rs 43.5 crore and Reedy Power worth Rs 420 million were traded.

In the sub-groups, the index of 8 out of 13 sub-groups has increased while the index of five sub-groups has decreased. The development bank sub-group increased the most by 1.18 percent while the hydropower sub-group climbed by about 1 percent. There has been a slight increase in other subgroups.

Similarly, the hotel and tourism sub-group decreased the most by 1.65 percent. Microfinance, non-life insurance, others and business sub-groups also saw a general decline.
