Kathmandu. Dinesh DC, chairman of the Film Development Board, said that since he assumed office, the work of the board has been effective and fast.
Speaking at a program organized on Thursday, he claimed that the work of the service recipients in the board is completed in a short time. He said, “I have worked for the Film Development Board with full heart and time. All the work is done in 15 minutes. ’
On the occasion, he also objected to the news related to financial irregularities that were recently disseminated in the media. He said that the reports that the board has misused the state treasury or spent Rs 40-45 lakh are not based on facts.
He said, “There have been reports that the Film Development Board has been involved in financial irregularities by exploiting the state treasury. There were some reports that 40 lakhs were wasted, but that is not news, it is an article. ’
According to him, the amount is related to the amount to be deposited in the Employees’ Provident Fund and Citizen Investment Trust in the past years, VAT on the assistance given to various organizations and other management expenses.
He also informed that about Rs 3.5 to 4 lakh has been arranged through the support given to various film associations in the course of the program. DC claimed that there was no fault of the employees in this process nor was there any financial irregularity in the involvement of any individual. He also said that he was ready to investigate if any irregularities were proved.
