GP Timilsina arrested after Usha Khadgi’s complaint

Kathmandu. Journalist GP Timilsina was arrested on Tuesday following a complaint filed by his ex-wife Usha Khadgi.

Usha had lodged a complaint at the Bhaktapur Police Range on Monday. The GP has also been charged with intimidation and attempted assault.

After the complaint, the police had called both the parties on Monday and held discussions. According to the police, Timilsina was arrested on Tuesday to proceed with the legal process after the discussion failed to reach a conclusion.

On March 17, Usha had posted a series of Facebook statuses saying that she needed security and that the new government should give her justice.

She had also hinted at filing a complaint with the police and administration demanding peace and security. She said that she should get justice and not interfere in her life.

Usha and GP got divorced on June 9, 2022 at the Kathmandu District Court. After six months of separation, the GP got married to his girlfriend Sabina Adhikari on December 19 of the same year.
