Kathmandu. The stock market has been falling for the past three days. The market fell by 39 points on Tuesday, 4 points on Wednesday, and 10 points on Thursday.
After today’s trading, NEPSE index closed at 2730 points. The transaction amount has increased compared to the previous day. Yesterday, the transaction was Rs 2.80 billion, which was Rs 3.29 billion today.
Today, the prices of 80 companies have increased while 174 have fallen. However, prices of 14 companies remained unchanged. Trading increased 0.32 percent and life insurance increased 0.01 percent. Other groups fell the most by 2 percent. Banking sector saw a dip of 0.06 per cent, development bank 0.53, finance 0.72, hotel and tourism 0.30, hydropower 0.25, investment 0.26, production and processing 0.52, microfinance 0.21 and non-life insurance 0.51 per cent.
Union Hydropower was the biggest gainer, rising 9.79 percent. Similarly, Crest Microlife Insurance Company Ltd and Community Microfinance Ltd saw a rise of 9.22 per cent and 2.50 per cent.
Asian Hydropower was the biggest loser by 9.89 percent. Himalayan Reinsurance Company Ltd (7.12 per cent), Narayani Development Bank (5.91 per cent), Ridgeline Energy (4.74 per cent) and Bhujung Hydropower Ltd (4.34 per cent) declined.
Himalayan Reinsurance, Sahas Energy, SY Panel, Union Hydropower and Mountain Energy were among the top trading companies in the review period.
