NEPSE index soars by 22 points

Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a sharp fall on Tuesday. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged 22.21 points or 0.80 percent to close at 2,777.58 points. With this, the market fell by 28 points the previous day.

A total of Rs 5.26 billion worth of shares were traded in today’s trade. A total of 1.13 crore shares of 346 companies were traded during the day.

Share prices of 184 companies increased while the prices of 77 companies declined. However, the prices of 10 companies have remained stable.

On a company-wise basis, the investors of Kalinchowk Hydropower Company earned the highest profit of 14.98 percent. Similarly, the share of Central Finance Insurance Company increased by 13.67 percent and Crest Micro Life Insurance by 10.57 percent.

Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Ltd tops the list in terms of turnover with a turnover of more than Rs 46.76 crore. Similarly, Nepal Reinsurance Company and Reedy Power Company are also in the list of the most traded companies.

Except for the productive index, all other indicators have increased today. The biggest improvement was among other indices that rose by 3.84 percent. Overall, the increase in buyer pressure in today’s market can be analyzed to have a positive impact on both the index and the transaction amount.
