Traffic violators collect Rs 10.5 lakh in a single day

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,025 drivers have been arrested for violating traffic rules, according to the Traffic Police.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Rs 1 million 48 thousand 500 has been deposited in the state treasury through this.

Spokesperson of Nepal Traffic Police Naresh Raj Subedi informed that action was taken against 100 persons for drinking, 107 for ride-sharing, 136 for breaching traffic lamps and 165 for speeding.

A total of 2,025 people were taken action including 58 for flouting lane discipline, 109 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 105 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 117 for one-way driving and 1,128 for not following other traffic rules.
