Kathmandu. The stock market fell for the sixth consecutive trading day. On the first trading day of the week, the NEPSE index decreased by 16.54 points to close at 2,632.96 points. Last week, the NEPSE index had fallen.
The indices of finance, hotel and tourism, production and processing and non-life insurance companies decreased by more than 1 percent each. Shares of 240 companies fell today and 29 others rose. Similarly, shares of 6 companies have not fluctuated.
Shares of Swabhiman Laghubitta Ltd fell by 6 percent today. Shares of Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower, Yambling Hydropower, Snow Rivers and Dhaulagiri Laghubitta surged by 15 per cent on the day.
Today, the transaction amount has also decreased. A total of 7.69 million units of shares of 351 companies were traded at Rs 2.67 billion on Friday.
