NEPSE shares rise by 149 points in 5 days, NEPSE surges 2,700 points

Kathmandu. The stock market rose for the fifth consecutive trading day. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 41.70 points to close at 2,719.24 points today. In the first five trading days, the NEPSE index increased by 149 points.

The sub-indices of all groups except mutual funds increased by 3.21 per cent and hydropower and others by 2.5 per cent.

Shares of 239 companies rose today and 32 declined. Similarly, the shares of 5 companies have not fluctuated.

Shares of Everest Color are up 15 percent today. Overall, shares of Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta and Corporate Development Bank fell more than 6.5 percent on the day.

Today, the transaction amount has also increased along with NEPSE. A total of 12.2 million units of shares of 343 companies were traded for Rs 5.51 billion on Friday.
