Lalitpur Metropolitan City asks for 31 employees

Kathmandu. The Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has invited applications for the recruitment of 31 employees for five posts including health assistant, computer operator, conductor and driver.

Issuing a notice on July 10, 2083, the KMC has urged the interested Nepali citizens to apply for the post within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice. The last date to apply is July 22, 2083.

If the last day is a public holiday, the application can be submitted till the day the office opens the next day.

The demand for the post of Health Assistant has been made for free ambulance service with doctors being operated by the metropolis.

Required Educational Qualification

1.  Health Assistant

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in general medicine from a recognized educational institution. It is stated in the notice that special priority will be given to health workers who have received training in emergency medical and technical training.

You will also have to submit a certificate of registration or renewal with the Nepal Health Professional Council.

2. Computer operator

Candidates should have passed Proficiency Certificate level or equivalent with computer subject from a recognized educational institution.

Candidates who have passed proficiency certificate level or equivalent in other subjects should have undergone at least 6 months of computer related training from a registered institution.

3. Tameldar

Must have passed SEE or SOS.

4. Heavy Ride Driver

Must be able to read and write general and have a heavy vehicle driver’s license. Minimum five years of experience in driving a related vehicle is required.

5. Light Vehicle Driver

Must be able to read and write general and have obtained a ‘F’ class driving license. At least five years of experience in light driving is required.

Age Range

Candidates can

until the last date to apply.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Male candidates should not be more than 35 years of age.

The age of the female candidate should not be more than 40 years.

Application Fee

The application fee for the fifth level post has been fixed at Rs 700.

A fee of Rs 500 will be charged for the fourth level and non-level posts. The candidates applying for the inclusive category will have to pay an additional Rs 150 for each additional group.

The application fee has to be deposited in the revenue account of Nepal Bank Limited mentioned in the notice by the metropolis along with the original cash receipt or voucher.

Candidates must attach the following documents to the application form:

• Three copies of a recent passport size photograph{

• Driving License for the post of Driver
• Certificate of registration or renewal with the Health Professional Council of Nepal for Health Assistant

The application form has to be submitted to Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Municipal Executive Office, Pulchowk, Lalitpur.

The application form and syllabus of the examination can be obtained from the website of Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

Examination and Selection Process

There will be written examination and interview for the post of Health Assistant and Tameldar.

For the post of Computer Operator, written examination, practical test and interview will be conducted.

There will be practical examination and interview for the post of heavy and light vehicle driver.

According to the KMC, only the successful candidates in one round will be included in the next round of selection process. The exam date and exam center will be made public later.

Agreement Term & Facility

The contract period of the selected employees will be till mid-January, 2083. The salary and other facilities will be available as per the prevailing rules of Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

It is stated in the notice that special preference will be given to the permanent residents of the metropolis and the candidates with experience in the related field.
