Lawmaker Amresh Kumar Singh appeals to maintain peace and harmony for Madhes development

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader and member of the House of Representatives, Dr Amresh Kumar Singh, has stressed the need for all classes and communities to move ahead together for the development of Madhes. Issuing an appeal through social media, Singh said that repeated agitations, caste-based and religious violence have pushed the Madhes back by 10 years.

Stating that the violent activities have had a negative impact on Madhes such as the destruction of physical infrastructure, disruption of academic session and closure of trade and business, he said that this has caused a big blow to Madhes. Now is the time, all classes and communities should come together to take forward the agenda of Madhes’ development,” he said.

Lawmaker Singh stressed that Madhes should be united for the long-term development in education, health, physical infrastructures, agriculture and employment of youths, shun violent activities. He also urged the Madhes people not to go after any anti-social elements who are trying to disturb the peace and harmony in the society.

Stating that anti-peace elements are against the development of Madhes, irrespective of their community or class, Singh said such people should be socially boycotted.
