Truth should be brought out after thorough study of Sunsari incident: Prachanda

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has demanded an investigation into the Sunsari incident.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives, he questioned whether there was a situation where the firing was necessary.

“The dispute that erupted in connection with the Bolbam’s religious journey at Kaptangunj of Sunsari escalated to a tragic incident and concerns are being expressed everywhere whether it might take the form of a big communal enmity,” he said.

What was the role of the security forces in the process of this incident and whether there was a situation where that level of firing was necessary or not?”

He demanded that a detailed study on all the issues should be carried out and the truth should be brought to the fore.
