Kathmandu. The Flood Forecasting Division has stated that there is a risk of flood in 42 districts due to the possibility of increase in the water level in small rivers and rivulets today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, water level in Koshi, Narayani, Karnali, Mahakali, Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati rivers and their tributaries will rise.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a risk of floods in Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Makawanpur and Chitwan. Similarly, Nawalparasi (east), Nawalparasi (west), Rupandehi, Palpa, Tanahun, Syangja, Lamjung, Kaski, Parbat, Myagdi, Rolpa, Salyan, Rukum (west), Jajarkot, Surkhet and Dailekh districts are also at risk of floods.
Achham, Kalikot, Bajura, Humla, Bajhang. Darchula, Baitadi, Doti, Dadeldhura, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur districts are also at risk of floods. The Division has urged all to observe precaution as the water level in the rivers and tributaries may rise suddenly if heavy rainfall occurs especially in hilly districts in short period.
