38 UML leaders quit party including Okhaldhunga chair

. A total of 38 leaders and cadres of the CPN (UML) including chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary of the Okhaldhunga district committee have left the party. Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Friday, they announced their decision to quit the party.

TAG_OPEN_p_3 Those who left the CPN-UML have joined the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) today. They were welcomed by coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Asmita Thapa was fielded as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives election from Okhaldhunga by the CPN-UML.TAG_OPEN_p_2 Earlier, on the day of the nomination, Ambir Babu Gurung had also left the CPN-UML and filed his candidacy from the NCP.
