Gita Devkota, Prem Prasad Dangal win in Bagmati

. Gita Devkota and Dr. Geeta Devkota have been elected to the National Assembly from Bagmati Province. Prem Prasad Dangal has been elected.

Nepali Congress candidate Gita Devkota won the election with 6,23 TAG_OPEN_p_7 9 votes. She got 60 votes in the provincial assembly and 161 votes in the local level. Her nearest rival was left alliance’s Narayan Kaji Shrestha who got 2,522 votes.

In other clusters, Dr. Prem Prasad Dangal won the election with 6,205 votes. He got 59 votes in the provincial assembly and 162 votes in the local level. His nearest rival was NC’s Narayan Kaji Shrestha who got 2,541 votes.

The winners contested the elections from the UML-Congress alliance and both defeated their rivals from the CPN.

Most of the voters were active in both the provincial and local level elections, and a small number of votes were invalid.TAG_OPEN_p_4
