15 leaders of Bright Nepal formally announce their resignation from the party

. A total of 15 central committee members of the Kulman Ghising-led Ujyalo Nepal have announced their decision to quit the party. They did not reveal their upcoming political journey or new plans.

In an unsigned statement, the leaders said they would act on the basis of immediate ideas, values and civic concerns, adding, “We request you to understand this as an exercise of civic consciousness and common interest, not as support or opposition to any party.”TAG_OPEN_p_7 ”

Dr. Bishal Kumar Bhandari, Dr. Abhishek Raj Singh, Dr. Ghanshyam Pandey, Dr. Sagar Dhakal, Bishal Gaire, Sarala Lamichhane, Sujan Shrestha, Kusum Ghimire, Kshitij Bhandari, Minraj Acharya, Raziya Bunu, Nirdesh Silwal, Devendra Shrestha and Sanjeev Bhattarai.

They were dissatisfied with Ghising when the unity of RSP and Ujjyalo Nepal was broken. RSP vice-president Dr. Swarnim Wagle had proposed to merge some leaders in the central committee, but President Rabi Lamichhane rejected it.

The leaders who issued the statement said, “We will stay in this party if the RSP gives us a suitable place, otherwise we will continue to be active in alternative politics in our own way.”TAG_OPEN_p_4 ”
