Govt approves use of national forest area for 4 hydropower projects

Kathmandu. The government has given permission to four hydropower projects to use the national forest area. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday decided to allow Sutikhola Hydropower Project, Tamakoshi Fifth Hydropower Project, Upper Sankhuwasabha Hydropower Project and Seti Khola Hydropower Project to use the national forest area, according to government Spokesperson and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal.

The meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar took the decision to this effect. The decision is expected to allow plans for all four projects to move forward and help in energy production.
