Iran’s Muharak governorate, Bahrain on fire in fuel tanks

Kathmandu. Bahrain’s Interior Ministry has confirmed that Iran targeted fuel storage tanks in an industrial area in Muharrak governorate. After the attack, fuel tanks in the area caught fire and a huge plume of smoke was seen in the sky.

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said the missiles fired from Iran targeted the Muharrak governorate’s fuel facility. Immediately after the incident, teams of civil security forces were deployed to douse the fire and bring the situation under control. Al-Hidd as a precaution by the ministry. Residents in the Galilee and Samaheed regions were urged to stay indoors and close their windows and doors, fearing that smoke from the fires could pose health risks. According to the latest information, the fire has been brought under control by the security agencies and the cooling operation is going on.

The attack is part of a growing military tension in the Middle East. The security situation in Iran has deteriorated since the United States and Israel launched joint air strikes on Iran on February 28. Iran has retaliated by firing drones and missiles at energy infrastructure in Israel and other countries in the region. According to the Bahrain Defense Forces, Bahrain has successfully destroyed 114 ballistic missiles and 190 drones since the start of the Iranian invasion.
