Committee formed for answer sheet testing and data verification

Kathmandu. Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has claimed that the results of the National Examination Board (NEB) have been completed on time.

Making an opinion through social media Facebook, Minister Pokharel clarified that the results were published on time by adding the required human resources and shortening unnecessary administrative process without any hurry in publishing the results.

Minister Pokharel writes, “I have already made public my opinion regarding the result process of the National Examination Board. We are clear and confident about this process. There was no hurry to publish the results on time, but by adding the necessary manpower and shortening unnecessary administrative procedures, the results were published on time. ’

Expressing dissatisfaction over the result process, he said that the government respects the students’ agitation. Stating that the right to express one’s views should be respected in a democratic society, he urged the agitating side to behave responsibly.

“We express our respect to the peaceful protest on this issue. In a democratic society, the right to raise one’s voice must be respected,” he wrote.

Minister Pokharel has urged one and all not to engage in such activities, saying his attention has been drawn towards the negative and disrespectful comments made against the students in social networking sites and some media.

“I request everyone not to use abusive, abusive or derogatory comments on social media towards any person or group who are peacefully protesting,” he said.

He also informed that a committee has been formed to study the queries and questions raised regarding the results with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Curriculum Development Center.

According to him, the committee comprising Under Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Sports and Under-Secretary of the Curriculum Development Centre will verify the sampling, testing, examination marks and data entry of the answer booklets.
