Kathmandu. The Ministry of Education has ordered the postponement of all university examinations.
The Ministry has directed the government to postpone all examinations scheduled from August 27 in view of the current adverse situation affecting the lives of students, guardians and the general public due to natural disasters.
The ministry has also directed to conduct the exams at an appropriate time for the candidates who could not appear in the examinations scheduled for August 28 due to various reasons.
The Ministry has issued the following instructions to make necessary arrangements
:
1. Postpone all examinations and make public the revised schedule of postponed examinations at an appropriate time.
2. Suspend non-essential gatherings, seminars, seminars, assemblies, and other mass programmes.
3. To make continuous contact, coordination, and necessary support and facilitation with the students and parents affected by the disaster through the university and related educational institutions.
4. To provide psycho-social counseling for the affected students and parents as per the need.
5. To make necessary arrangements for the continuity of education and facilitation of the students keeping in mind the impact of the disaster on their studies.
We request you to take necessary decisions to implement the above provisions immediately in view of the current sensitive situation.
We request the university family to take the necessary decision by prioritizing the safety and welfare of students, parents, teachers, and staff at this difficult time of disaster.
