Bhotekoshi floods: 903 bodies recovered, 4,247 still missing

KATHMANDU: According to the latest data related to the search, rescue and relief operations in Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa, 903 bodies have been recovered so far while 4,247 people are still missing.

According to the NRA, 24 dead bodies were recovered in Rasuwa, 95 in Nuwakot, 55 in Dhading, 62 in Gorkha, 207 in Nawalparasi East, 151 in Nawalparasi West, 37 in Tanahun and 272 in Chitwan.

Of them, 25 are from the Nepal Police, 45 from the Nepal Army, 13 from the Armed Police Force, 15 from the Customs Office and three from the Immigration Office.

Similarly, 933 are from hydropower projects, 65 from Makwanpur and 592 foreign nationals who are out of contact, according to the NEA. According to the report, 127 of the Nepalis living abroad visiting Nepal are also out of contact. Three people from Langtang National Park are also out of contact.
