‘The country is heading towards a big crisis’: Dr. Baburam Bhattarai

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said that the country is heading towards a big crisis.

“In the backdrop of the growing geopolitical turmoil in the country, there is intense infighting between the ruling and opposition parties, and chaos in the major organs of the state, judiciary, administration and police,” he wrote on social media.

He further writes, “The continuous decline of the economy, the burden of increasing natural disasters, the continuous migration of young people abroad, the growing despair in the public media and civic circles, etc., indicate that the country is heading towards a major crisis.” ’

According to him, the country will not be able to withstand instability and turmoil under any pretext. “Let’s all be serious from our respective fields,” he writes, “we can’t, let’s make positive contributions1, let’s not do negative things.” ’
