Voting underway in Janakpur for four seats of Madhes Province

Kathmandu. Voting is underway for four seats in Madhes Province under the National Assembly election. A total of 11 candidates are in the fray for four seats. Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-4 has started from 9:00 am at Mahendra Narayan Mithila Culture Centre.

Voting will continue till 3 pm. The election is taking place in four seats of four groups including others, women, Dalits and minorities with disabilities in Madhes Province. The election is taking place for 17 out of 59 members of the National Assembly.

As per the law, the NA posts falling vacant should be held 35 days in advance. Out of the 18 seats falling vacant, NC has won 9 seats, UML in 8 seats and JSP in 1 seat. See the rest of the image:
