Kathmandu. The process for formation of a new government will begin within a few days after the conclusion of the election to the House of Representatives. However, even after the formation of the new government, the arrangement of government accommodation for the ministers will not be easy immediately.

The ministers’ residence complex at Bhaisepati in Lalitpur on September 24 has been completely damaged due to vandalism, looting and arson. The modern housing area, constructed at a cost of around Rs 1.34 billion, has been damaged within a year of its use.

According to the current situation, it is not possible to live in the premises. Therefore, it is said that temporary alternative arrangements have been made for the ministers of the new government. In the Kathmandu Valley, the ministers who have their own house can stay in their own house and other ministers will be allowed to live in their own house if necessary.

The process to reconstruct the damaged minister’s residence has already begun. Tender has been called for the reconstruction of 27 buildings after studying some of the buildings that were badly damaged. After technical and economic evaluation, the work will be forwarded by signing an agreement with a suitable construction company. The government has set a target to complete the reconstruction by mid-July of the current fiscal year.
