World Earth Day: Tangwe village of Mustang, a confluence of desert, human settlement and greenery (seven photos)

Kathmandu. Situated at an altitude of 3,060 meters, Tangwe village feels like a unique destination decorated by nature’s own hands. There are very few places on earth where the beauty of the mountains, the desert feel, the simple lifestyle of human settlement, and the greenery of arable land can be seen at the same time.

The village of Tangwe is a wonderful place with that rare feature. The arid terrain that looks like a desert on one side, the meadows of small fields on the other, the Kaligandaki river flowing nearby, and the view of the Nilgiri Mountains in the background reflect the strange balance of nature.
