Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) protests (seven photos)

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has staged a protest demonstration demanding protection of press freedom and freedom of expression, addressing journalists’ demands and ensuring their right to information. The demonstrators had displayed placards with slogans such as ‘Repeal the government policy against media’, ‘Long live press freedom’, ‘Immediately address the demands of Federation of Nepali Journalists’, ‘Guarantee the right to unimpeded access to information’ and ‘Protect the constitutional right to press freedom and freedom of expression’. They staged a demonstration in front of the premises of the Department of Roads at Babarmahal, demanding the government to respect press freedom and citizens’ right to information.
