In the past 24 hours, 2,438 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This has contributed Rs 2 million 79 thousand in revenue to the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 85 people were taken for drinking, 130 for ride-sharing, 123 for breaching lamps and 160 for speeding.
Similarly, 122 for flouting lane discipline, 88 for blowing horn in prohibited zones, three for driving under the influence of drugs and 27 for violating traffic rules and 1,700 others flouted traffic rules.
