Absconding defendant arrested in banking fraud case

Kathmandu. The absconding defendant in the banking fraud case has been arrested.

Police on Thursday arrested Prashant Ram Nakarmi, 52, of Indrawati Rural Municipality-4 in Sindhupalchowk district on the charge of banking offense.

A police team deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested him from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12, Teku after slapping a fine of Rs 700,000 and a five-day jail term in the case following the verdict of Kathmandu District Court on November 23, 2002.

He has been produced before the Kathmandu District Court for the execution of the verdict.
