Kathmandu. Police have arrested four persons from Birgunj Metropolitan City of Parsa district with Rs 52.5 million undisclosed amount. The accused were arrested from Adarsha Nagar of Birgunj-10 on Monday evening. Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Bhattarai of Parsa District Police Office (SP) Pawan Bhattarai told Ratopati that the accused were found to be riding two motorcycles.
The arrestees have been identified as Suraj Karna, 26, of Sitamadhi, India, Upendra Sah, 32, of Prasauni Rural Municipality-1, Bara, Sagar Kumar Sarraf, 26, of Bara and Rahul Kumar Gupta, 25, of Bindbasini Rural Municipality-1, Parsa.
Police have recovered Rs 1 lakh from Suraj Karna, Rs 18.16 lakh from Upendra Sah, Rs 18.34 lakh from Sagar Kumar Sarraf and Rs 1.6 million from Rahul Kumar Gupta. The seized cash is Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. The Parsa police are investigating the case.
They are a Super Splendor with registration number 2-03-003 Pa 7215. He was riding a motorcycle (FZ with registration number 57 Pa 5182).
