Kathmandu. The meeting also passed a proposal related to contemporary issues presented by Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma in the closed session of the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
The proposal presented by Sharma incorporates contemporary political issues including the erosion of democratic culture. The closed session passed the proposal.
After the passage of the proposal, Sharma described the closed session of the Congress as a historic issue saying it was presented in an open way for the world to hear.
“We have also presented the closed session for the open world to hear. This is also historic,” he said.
He said that the Congress should develop a culture of listening to the people in both defeat and victory. “The Congress wants to listen and laughs even when it wins and loses. This is the kind of Congress we are trying to build,” he said.
Sharma said the NC should be developed into a party that can have hope, trust and trust rather than complaining.
“The Congress that has the answer, the Congress that has it, is the Congress that has hope, not the complaint, but the Congress that has hope and faith and trust. Now it is not despair, it is the Congress that has to be built,” he said.
Sharma urged the delegates not to focus only on who will win which post from the general convention, adding that the main objective of the party was to take the party ahead in accordance with democratic norms and culture.
“Don’t worry about who will win what post,” he said. ’
He was of the view that the party should be developed as a political force where the people listen, trust and trust by further consolidating the democratic culture within the party.
