Sudan advises lawmaker Sunar to resign immediately and cooperate in investigation

KATHMANDU: Former minister and labour culture leader Sudan Kirati has asked RSP lawmaker Khagendra Sunar to resign immediately from his post in connection with the obscene audio scandal.

Addressing lawmaker Sunar through social media, Kirati said that the post of parliamentarian is not just a means of position or power but also the highest standard of trust towards the citizens and public morality.

Kirati has said, “Society will not change when the face or character is changed, as long as the thinking and attitude do not change. When the accused and question of serious oppression and immorality has been raised against the person who has come with the agenda of oppression, liberation and morality, now we should pave the way and become an example of a new political culture.” ’

Kirati has urged Sunar to cooperate in the investigation by resigning from his post immediately to protect the dignity of the lawmaker and to resolve the questions raised against him.

Kirati added, “Without a strong moral foundation, neither the liberation of oppression is possible, nor can the people believe that it is ‘new’.” Opinion of the RSP 1′
