One killed in syringe attack in Jhapa

Kathmandu. A man has been murdered in Jhapa. According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, Khem Dhakal was murdered at Bhadrapur-10 on Thursday evening. Dhakal was on his way home from a neighbour’s house when a group attacked him using a syringe.

According to Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Jhapa, the group escaped after protesting from the locals. Dhakal succumbed to his injuries on the way to Omsai Hospital for treatment. The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, Khadka said.

A person has been arrested on the charge of his involvement in the incident with the help of locals and necessary investigation is underway, Khadka said. The arrested person is an MBBS student.
