Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has claimed that no one has been able to point a finger at the work done by the government for about 8 months.

He has claimed that he will be a bigger force in the next election after working in the same situation for four and a half years.

“Even after seven and a half to eight months, I have not been able to point fingers at anyone. We will come back as a big force by running the government like this for 4 and a half years,” Minister Wagle said at a program organized on the occasion of Nepal Infrastructure Summit.

He claimed that work is being done in coordination among all the bodies of the government.

“After Juddha Shumsher, no government ran for five years. Now we will dismantle it,” Wagle said. ’

According to him, 35 Acts were enacted in the last three and a half years and now the government is working on 166 Acts. He said that 59 of them are being prepared to be taken forward in a single package. “We are doing the Big Bang. The pace of work will increase now,” he said.

He said that the government has given priority to big investment and rapid implementation in infrastructure development. He said that work has been done to advance eight to 10 big infrastructure projects at once.

Wagle said that the government has also taken a policy to increase the participation of the private sector to end the situation where all development works should be done only by the state. He said that the budget has been brought to open the way for investment by the private sector and the provision related to alternative development finance will be implemented.

} “We will increase private capital,” he said.

Finance Minister Wagle also claimed that the good governance efforts taken by the government have had a positive impact on the economy. He said that despite facing major floods and landslides, the pace of revenue collection was good, describing it as the dividend of good governance.

He said the government would pursue good governance, legal reforms, infrastructure development and expansion of private sector investment simultaneously.
